My name is Ksenya

I was born in Kyiv into a family of academics, inventors, artists and writers.
I was educated in 2000 and graduated with a degree in Art and Design along with further degrees in science and business.
I have always been captivated by art, design, history and architecture.
I founded a successful interior design business which I ran for 15 years in Ukraine.
Besides my two children, my lifetime passions have been mountaineering and photography.

I have been living on the Gower Peninsula since 2023 moving to Wales as a consequence of the war in my country.
The beauty of the area and the generosity of the people have been an inspiration to me in the pursuit of my dream and starting a new page in my professional journey.
That was when I fell in love with photography again and became inseparable from my camera.

Photography for me is not “pressing the magic button” on my camera, but it is the dialogue and powerful implement to convey the unique beauty of the inner world and memories of the most important moments.

I saw a lot of women's destinies, women’s tears of despair and disbelief, I saw women’s fragility even though they seemed confident to others, I saw their fears and loss of hope, I saw how women lost their sensuality, beauty, energy and power of femininity in some times in their lives, I saw the trauma and lifeless eyes.
And I was one of them…
I have desperately intricated life experiences, but one day I found the power to rise again and remained optimistic, thirsty for life, professional, giving and affectionate.
I started taking pictures of women and saw how they changed when I shared their images, I saw how they became whole again, believed in their beauty, back to their strong personalities and found their lost.
My philosophy in this genre is “Photography Psychology Session”: intimate and a special way to start the captivating journey to yourself.

The biggest gift for me is to see how one photoshoots repair broken confidence and give belief.
